The whole experience was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish, would recomand. The breakfast was sensational and there was a good choice of excellent food. The room was great-sized and brand-new and included a flat-screen TV, a hair dryer, and coffee.

We booked the last double room at the Ansteys Lea on the day and were given a better room than expected. Excellent value for money, I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The owner was very friendly and helpful. We were a group of hens and he was very understanding. Would definately stay here again if i was to revisit Torquay. Approx 10-15min walk to the harbour which is downhill so not so bad. Coming back is best to get a taxi!!
There was nothing I did not like about this hotel. Only point i would raise is that the swimming pool is no longer there this isnt stated on the Booked.net website.

The kids were thrilled with the interactive games and shows, keeping them entertained for hours. They especially loved the themed rooms that made them feel like they were in a different world altogether.
For dads, it would be great to have more outdoor play areas for the kids.

Mouldy walls. poor access. lumpy bed that was two singles pushed together so you fell down the middle making it hard to sleep. not at all how it is portrayed in the brochure. seems run down.

The hotel was two thirds building site on arrival, bar and restraunt closed however he did say he could cook breakfast for us for 5 pounds each, We decided to decline as the dining area had been put next to the bar room and was icy cold. If it had been advertised as being refurbished we would have booked elswhere Very disappointed
